[CINÉ-DÉBAT] The Dissident Projector

Hello everyone! How are you? We'd like you to join us to watch Good Bye, Lenin!, a German tragicomedy directed by Wolfgang Becker in 2003 - blending humor, emotion, and political satire.
The story is set in East Berlin just before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Christiane Kerner, a devoted socialist, falls into a coma after a heart attack, missing the historic collapse of East Germany. Eight months later, she wakes up in a reunified Germany. Fearing that the shock could be fatal, her son Alex goes to great lengths to maintain the illusion that the German Democratic Republic still exists, even creating fake news broadcasts and reconstructing their old life. The film mixes touching and comedic moments while offering a poignant reflection on political and social change. The movie will be in german with French subtitles.
