What we’re about
Love horror? So do we. Whether you’re into blood-soaked fiction, unsettling slow burns, cult classics, or psychological dread that sticks with you—this group is for you.
We alternate monthly between book discussions and movie meetups, focusing on works that dig deep into horror’s rich territory: fear, power, identity, morality, and the uncanny. Some months we pair books with films around a shared theme for even deeper conversations.
Our vibe is curious, inclusive, and a little weird (in the best way). We’re here to explore the genre’s dark corners with thoughtful discussion and great company.
Book Meetups: Held every other month, we read a carefully chosen horror novel—classic, modern, obscure, or newly released—and meet to talk about what thrilled or disturbed us most.
Movie Meetups: In the off months, we gather to watch and discuss horror films—sometimes cult favorites, sometimes overlooked gems, always something worth talking about.
Most meetings happen in person in DC (usually SW or SE), and we welcome new members with open arms and possibly cursed objects.
