May 2026 Rite of Her Sacred Fires
Details
Since 2010, during the full moon in May, the Covenant of Hekate — "an international community of devotees who honor the Goddess Hekate, in all her many forms, by all her many faces and guises" — performs the Rite of Her Sacred Fires. All over the world, in around 30 languages, the Rite will be performed, and we'll be joining them. This year is the first time that there's two full moons in May, and an online poll determined that we'd all do this on the second one.
The English language version is the one that we'll use, and you can familiarize yourself with it here.
It's short, taking only a few minutes. We'll gather at 8:15pm and get started around 8:20 as the sun sets.
This rite is designed to be performed solo, but Dash will explain prior to getting started how you can contribute, too, in your space and place as we share this time together.
No experience with Hekate is necessary, simply a reverence for her history and her meaningful impact on the world of modern witchcraft and witchcraft-inflected Pagan traditions.
