Every month in 2026, The Foodie Fellowship will feature a meetup with a different regional cuisine from India or inspired by the cuisines of the Indian subcontinent. This February we continue our journey to the sunny, southern state of Kerala, also known as "God's own Country". A tropical, tranquil paradise of palm trees, beautiful beaches with white sand, and food with bold, soulful flavours! We’re gathering to enjoy Kerala-style food at Dot In, a "progressive Kerala restaurant" in Amsterdam known for weaving traditional Kerala tastes with a modern twist.

Typical Kerala-style food is spicy without being overpowering, with several coconut-based curries and a variety of seafood dishes. Here are some of the dishes you can try:

Starters & Small Plates

  • Duet of Prawns Shashlik - skewered prawns grilled in two Kerala-style marinades and served with zesty lemon butter sauce.
  • Harbor Chemmeen Ularth - prawns roasted with coconut, aromatic spices and curry leaves.
  • Kerala Crispy Fried Chicken - marinated in local spices and fried golden and juicy.
  • Potato & Cheese Poppers - spicy masala-filled bites with melted cheese.

Mains & Classics

  • Alleppey Prawns Curry - prawns slow-cooked in rich coconut milk with tangy raw mango and signature spices.
  • Mappilas Chicken Kurma - a creamy south-Indian coconut and cashew curry.
  • Legacy Salmon Molly - salmon gently simmered in fragrant coconut-based Kerala-style sauce.
  • Kuttanadan Veg Curry - hearty medley of vegetables slow-cooked in aromatic coconut gravy.

Desserts

  • Ada Pradhaman - A Kerala-style dessert made with rice, jaggery & coconut milk served with a scoop of Ice cream.
  • Kerala Pannacotta - A silky coconut panna cotta Infused with tropical flavors.
