Kidiloski Onam Event 2026

Come join us for a very special foodie experience as we celebrate Onam, Kerala’s famous harvest festival, with a traditional Onam Sadhya and an afternoon of music, culture and festivities in Amsterdam!

🍌 The main event: an authentic Onam Sadhya

For foodies, this is the highlight!
We’ll enjoy a traditional Kerala Sadhya at Dot In Restaurant: a large vegetarian feast served in the traditional way on a banana leaf.
A Sadhya consists of numerous dishes served together, with rice accompanied by different curries, vegetable preparations, pickles, papadam and, of course, payasam for dessert. It’s one of the best ways to experience the enormous variety of flavours found in Kerala cuisine.
And yes, eating a multi-course feast from a banana leaf is very much part of the experience! 🌴

The Onam celebration continues next door at Comedy Cafe, where there will be an afternoon of festivities including:

The full ticket includes both the entertainment at Comedy Cafe and the Sadhya at Dot In.

If you are mainly interested in the food and would prefer to attend only the Sadhya, that is also possible. Please send me a message when you RSVP and let me know your preference.

💰 Let’s get a group together and save!
This is definitely an event where bringing more foodies pays off! There are substantial group discounts, so we would like to get as many people together as possible:

• 5 people: €50 per person
• 10 people: €40 per person
• 20 people: €30 per person

So the bigger our Foodie Fellowship group becomes, the cheaper the event can be for everyone. 🎉
Please only RSVP if you are seriously interested in joining, so that we can see which group-size discount we are likely to qualify for before arranging the tickets.

🍽️ Sadhya dining slots
The Sadhya is served at Dot In in designated seating sessions, with 32 guests per slot, beginning at 12:30.
Our exact dining time will depend on the arrangements with the event organizers. Ideally, we will attend together as a group.

We will try to coordinate our booking based on how many people join.
When you RSVP, please also send me a message if you want to attend only the Sadhya rather than the full event.
⚠️ Please only RSVP if you genuinely intend to come. Our final price depends on the number of committed participants, so last-minute cancellations could affect the group discount for everyone.

🌴 What is Onam?
Onam is one of Kerala’s biggest festivals, and food is a huge part of the celebration. The elaborate vegetarian Sadhya is traditionally one of its centrepieces.
So if you love Indian food, Kerala cuisine, trying traditional dishes, or experiencing food as part of another culture, this should be a fantastic Sunday afternoon.
And the more of us who join, the better, both for the atmosphere and for our wallets! 😄
