Ever feel like making new friends gets harder as you get older?

You meet people through work, dating apps, university or your existing friendship circles — but finding a group of genuinely kind, open-minded and like-minded people to actually do life with can be surprisingly difficult.

That's what we're creating here.

The Good Crowd is a community for 22–32 year olds in Sydney who want to meet genuine people, try new things, get out of their comfort zone and create meaningful experiences together.

We're not here to build another awkward networking group or a crowd of people standing around making small talk.

We're here to actually do things together.

What can you expect?

Our events take place on the first weekend of every month, on either Saturday or Sunday.

Each month we'll organise a different experience designed to get people interacting naturally, having fun and creating opportunities for genuine connection.

Some events will be completely free, while others will have a ticket cost depending on things like food, drinks, venue bookings, activities and organiser/platform costs.

More than just an activity

The activity is the vehicle — the people are the point.

Our intention is to create an environment where you can:

• Meet new people without the pressure of having to impress anyone
• Make genuine friendships and expand your social circle
• Try activities you might not normally do
• Get out of your routine and experience more of Sydney
• Have meaningful conversations alongside plenty of laughs
• Connect with people who value kindness, curiosity and personal growth
• Feel comfortable showing up as yourself
• Create memories and experiences you'll actually remember

You don't need to arrive knowing anyone.

You don't need to be the loudest person in the room.

And you definitely don't need to be an extrovert.

Whether you're naturally outgoing, a little shy, somewhere in between, new to Sydney, rebuilding your social circle or simply looking to meet more good people — you belong here.

The culture matters

We care about the kind of people we bring together.

We want this to be a community built around respect, kindness, authenticity, openness and inclusion.

You don't need to pretend to be cooler, funnier or more successful than you are.

Disrespectful, discriminatory, judgemental, aggressive or predatory behaviour isn't welcome.

You might come knowing nobody.

Whatever brings you here, our hope is that you leave having laughed with someone new, experienced something different and felt a little more connected than when you arrived.
