Suitable for: This course is suitable as a follow on to our second year upholstery course or anyone with a Stage 2 AMUSF qualification. As much of the learning is transferred verbally, a good knowledge of English is required.

About: This course is a way of focusing on professional development. Working on challenging projects chosen by the student.

During the 35 weeks, you will deepen your knowledge of everything you have learnt during your first/second year by adding new skills and completing two chairs of your own choosing (one modern & one traditional).

This course will introduce a new element to upholstery which is to design & build a sustainable round footstool. With this project you will have creative freedom while learning about the design process, including problem solving and experimentation as well as how to incorporate the most sustainable materials into your footstool.
