We’d love to invite you to the Groove House Sessions - a series of unique experiences that bring together jamming musicians, performers, and music lovers. These non-profit events happen on the first Sunday of every month, and you can see a short video clip of what to expect HERE.

The Groove House was created to help spread joy and inspiration through music and community. It's a unique venue surrounded by inspiring views of nature just a 40-minute drive from Lisbon.

There's FOUR segments to the night:

1. WELCOME (COMPLIMENTARY) DRINKS: Weather permitting, we might meet and greet at the Sunset Cove, a spot on the land with stunning views of the valley (see picture below). This usually offers the musicians extra inspiration for the night.
2. GIGS (solo, raw, unplugged): The event kicks off with the soulful expression of three distinct solo performers, each sharing their unique voice and instrument through a captivating, 15-minute set. This is a totally non-profit event: ALL proceeds go to the artists, food, and cleaners.
3. DINNER: Delicious veggie food, lovingly prepared for everyone to eat together around a big table.
4. IMPROVISED JAM: In contrast to the rawness of the performances, we finish with a studio-quality jam session by pro and semi-pro musicians, using state of the art equipment to get the best possible sound. As players always meet for the first time here, it’s always a pleasure to see them speak the same universal language. Typical styles are indie, funk, jazz fusion, and experimental.

TRANSPORT

• IMPORTANT INFO if you're driving here (otherwise you'll likely get stuck)
• As part of the booking process, we ask any willing drivers to leave their phone numbers. A few days before the event, we’ll email you the contacts of those who offered to give people a lift - making it super easy to get here
• If you prefer to take an Uber, you can find “The Groove House” on the Uber app and at normal rates it should cost around €20 to get here from Lisbon.

BRING

• WARM CLOTHES & WIND JACKET. There can sometimes be a cold northerly wind if you’re chilling in the terrace
• DRINKS - feel free to bring your own (we have a drinks fridge). Please don't bring drinks into the main music room as it’s too risky with the carpet :)

In exchange for 5 hours of helping out on the day, we can offer you a free ticket and 2 nights' stay at the Groove House, with meals provided. If you’re interested, HERE’s where you can reserve.
