What we’re about
Calling all aspiring or live music performers looking to jam with other musicians and singers to improve those musical skills!
Details on how the jam runs are provided on each of the event pages. Most are generic songs, and occasionally we'll throw in a themed jam to mix it up.
It's a mixed group of all abilities, and designed to accommodate all.
Those that are able to play by ear, show up and play. Those that need chord structures and keys will use the jam sheet to find those resources.
On the day, the songs are played one time through, or twice if anyone also wants to play or sing on the same song, but the challenge is to play it slightly differently.
There's no rehearsing on the stage, with each song taking 5-10mins max before rotation. So each song should be learnt or known before showing up to jam them out.
All that being said, it's a pretty relaxed and supportive group that encourages 'winging it' and challenging ourselves on various instruments and styles.

Max 25 participants can comfortably fit in the room at any one time with the following;
- 3-5 vocalists
- 5-6 guitarist
- 1-3 bassists
- 1-2 drummer/percussion
- 1-2 keys
Participants will be called up to play songs they've noted on the Song list spreadsheet (link below) as priority.
We go to our local pub for some karaoke afterwards!

There will be a keyboard, drum kit, 4 mics, 1 bass amp and 2 guitar amps on the day.

- Jammers should come prepared for the songs that they put their names down for.
- No shows or cancellations up to a week before the Jam will not be refunded.
- Spreadsheet: maximum 5 song nominations per person. Put your name on the 'Nominated By' column.
- Guitarists: there will be a jig setup for each amp you will all be using this jig. We will plan ahead and agree who is bringing what pedal for the day.
- Jammers doing very few songs will go on the waitlist.
The cost is £12 pre-pay for the day, which all go towards running The Jam.
