The Jam Plan

2:30pm - 5:30pm

• Work with charts of standard blues, jazz, pop, rock and soul standards attached in the jam.
• Jam with charts nominated by others, or
• Work around chord progressions and making it up on the spot (both singers and instrumentalists).

A new set up on the sheet now has allocations for band members by skill level. As JamKazam only works well with a limited number of people, this is to help match musicians as closely as we can with less fuss on the day.

If there is a song on the list you would like to do, but see someone else on, please add a '/' and then your name and we'll look at setting up a different group.

Where there are no songs attendees have been put down for, they will be added to the improvisation groups.

How to prepare for the day

It's all online, which will be very different experience.
Working headphones will help prevent feedback into microphones, so will advise using those.

Hooking up amps, digital kits or playing live drum kits into the input mic will require testing beforehand.

Considerations

1. This event requires willingness and ability to collaborate with others and work as a band.

2. Jammers must come prepared for the songs that they put their names down for.

3. Songs suggested should be suitable for a band set and have chords provided in the spreadsheet for others to learn in advance if not already on the list. The key must be provided for others to learn if different from the original.

4. Instruments must be tuned before starting the jam.

5. The Jamkazam app has been downloaded and tested. Any participants have not passed the internet test are unfortunately unable to join.
