This Photo hike is arranged on a public demand .....all for this lovely place!!
This beautiful and picturesque hike is along the water side of the Tommy Thompson Park-Leslie Spit (not very far from Toronto Union Stn). . The terrain for the hike is mainly flat and we will walk at a gentle pace of 4 KM per hour. We will click good pictures on the way (without getting too slow).
Tommy Thomson Park is a hidden treasure in Toronto. It is a peninsula that provides the perfect views of the downtown in a rich natural setting. A large portion of it is classified as an Environmentally Sensitive Area and it is recognized as an Important Bird Area. Quite a number of bird species are found on the Leslie Street Spit. More than 300 species of birds have been identified, 45 of which breed on the headland.
Come prepared for the weather. While the walk is going to be very beautiful, it may be colder, being so close to water.
