IDP Books - Community Reading and Discussion Group

Details
We're thrilled to announce IDP Books, a new community reading and discussion group. The first book we'll be reading is "On Being Authentic" by philosopher Charles Guignon. This accessible and fascinating work addresses the idea of what it means to be "authentic" and suggests that "we have to see ourselves as fundamentally social creatures, embedded in relationships and communities, and that being authentic is not about what is owed to me but how I depend on others."
The discussion will be lead by Greg Zwahlen, a longtime member of IDP and student and scholar of many Buddhist lineages. We'll be offering the audio of the meetings on the course page, and encourage comments and questions on the discussion board. If you're a remote student and would like to participate live, please contact kim@theidproject.org, and we'll arrange for you to Skype into the meeting.
