About us
Welcome to The ISO Club—Berlin’s premier community for passionate portrait and people photographers, creative directors, models, and visual storytellers.
Founded in 2020, we have grown from a local hobbyist circle into a high-engagement creative hub. We bridge the gap between casual meetups and professional art production, providing a collaborative space where creators of all skill levels can connect, experiment, and elevate their craft.
Our focus is entirely on People Photography in all its forms—from raw streetwear aesthetics and cinematic outdoor sessions to controlled, high-end studio lighting.
Our Core Events
We host a regular lineup of recurring staple events designed to keep you inspired and shooting:
- Portray & Be Portrayed (or Portray OR Be Portrayed): Our signature concept. Whether you are primarily behind the lens, in front of it, or love switching roles, these high-energy sessions ensure everyone walks away with incredible new content and fresh perspectives.
- Group TFP (Time for Print) Events: Organized collaborative sessions in professional indoor studios and iconic Berlin outdoor locations. These are designed for photographers and models to co-create, experiment with editorial concepts, and build stunning portfolios without commercial pressure.
- Collective Creativity (New for 2026): A premium format focused on collaborative artistic production. We pick a conceptual theme, pool our creative energy, and work together to push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
- The ISO Hangouts: Our casual, low-pressure social meetups. No cameras required—just grab a drink, talk gear, share feedback on edits, chat about the Berlin creative scene, and catch up with fellow club members.
Exciting Shift for late 2026: From Camera to Canvas
Starting in the second half of 2026, we are taking our community’s work to the next level. Every single shooting event we host (except for our casual Hangouts) will be directly linked to larger Photo Projects.
We are moving past the digital screen. The concepts we shoot during our sessions will be curated, selected, and printed, culminating in physical exhibitions in independent cafes and art galleries across Berlin. When you join an ISO Club event, you aren't just taking photos for an Instagram feed—you are actively participating in a collective art exhibition.
Who is this group for?
- Photographers (Digital, Film, Mirrorless, Mobile) looking to master portraiture, lighting, and directing.
- Models & MUA/Stylists looking to expand their portfolio with diverse styles and professional collaborators.
- Creatives who want to be part of an active, supportive, and evolving art community in Berlin.
Join us at our next event, bring your unique vision, and let’s create something tangible together.

📸 New formula: Portray or be portrayed!
U Bundestag, U Bundestag, 10557 Berlin, Germany, Berlin, DEThe sibling to our existing event formula, Portray & BE Portrayed, Portray & OR Portrayed expands the previous formula by introducing 2 separate participation roles:
- Photographer: For creators who want to fully focus on mastering lighting, composition, and directing talent without distractions.
- Model: For anyone looking to step in front of the camera, build their modeling portfolio, or capture high-quality content for professional headshots, creative projects, or dating profiles.
Compared to the previous formula, this time the roles are exclusive, meaning you will join this event either as a photographer OR a model.
This event formula is meant to activate different parts of our community.
Similarly to our Group TFP event formula, we will be working with smaller groups of 3-4 members with shifts, during which models will be rotating across all of the photographing groups.
📍 Location
We will be shooting around the architectural lines and ambient lighting of the Government District (Regierungsviertel). To make the most of our time, a plethora of curated reference locations and backdrops will be provided to all participants at the start of the event.🍽️ Post-Event Social Lunch
After the event, we will go to Zollpackhof to discuss results and socialize.📋 Participation Requirements
