πΈ Portray and/or Be Portrayed in Hansaviertel!
Our staple community portrait session is back
in Hansaviertel, full of mid-century modernist post-war architecture (Interbau 57: Niemeyer, Aalto, Gropius) bordering the wild, untamed forest paths of western Tiergarten!
The concept is simple: whether you want to shoot behind the lens, step in front of the camera as a model, or do both, we team up in small groups to co-create, experiment, and update our portfolios. Surrounded by golden autumn foliage, stone paths, and soft afternoon light, itβs all about relaxed collaboration, trying new angles, and connecting with fellow creatives in Berlin.
π Location - Hansaviertel:
- Our location will enrich our portraits with bold primary-colored concrete balconies, floating staircases, pilotis (concrete pillars), and clean geometric shadows, instantly transitioning across the road into overgrown lakeside greenery.
π Schedule (7.11.2026):
- 12:00 β 15:00 Hansaviertel
- 15:00+ - late lunch, location to be provided later
Bring your camera, choose whether you want to portray, be portrayed, or both, and letβs co-create.
- We will rotate roles so there is only one active model at a time.
- You'll work in small groups of 3β4 people
- This format is inspired by our successful TFP (Time for Photos) sessions.
π§οΈ Weather & Cancellation Policy
This is an outdoor event, so we rely on suitable conditions. In the case of rain or freezing temperatures, the event may be cancelled or rescheduled at very short notice. Please make sure to check Meetup (or turn on notifications) before heading out for any last-minute updates!

βοΈ What to bring

π€ Photo Sharing & Community Guidelines
To ensure a great experience for everyone, we ask all participants to agree to the following:
- Public Social Media: If you want to post photos to Instagram (or other public media), you must get mutual permission from the other party (photographer/model) first
- Share your favorite photos in our Discord and WhatsApp group (we might repost your best photos - you will be fully credited/invited to collaboration)
- Give Credit: All public posts must tag the author, the model, @the_isoclub, and @_portraitscenter.
- Tip: We highly recommend using PicFlow to easily select and finalize photos that work for both parties!
π· Media Release & Participation Agreement (TFP Basis)
The ISO Club runs on good energy and collaboration! Because our events are built around community and creative production, we operate on a mutual "Time for Photos" (TFP) framework. By RSVPing, you agree that organizers and fellow creators can snap photos/videos of you (including cool behind-the-scenes moments) to share in our Instagram Reels and promo materials. If you prefer not to be on camera, we totally get it, but this specific meetup might not be the right fit. Check out our full, formal legal disclosure and data rights here: link
