RI Pagan Pride - Mithras Oasis Giving Campaign

MITHRAS Oasis is sponsoring a tent at Rhode Island Pagan Pride Day, featuring tables of used books as part of our 2014 Giving Campaign. (Last year Mithras Oasis sponsored a 2013 ProLiteracy Campaign, raising over $400 for adult literacy initiatives throughout the United States).

At our "Book Sale-style" Tent this year, we will again be offering used books on a variety of subjects, asking for a suggested donation of $1. All visitors to our tent are welcome to do what they will, and give what they will.

(Its a great way to meet others who might be interested in rituals, initiations, personal liberty, or simply the variety of devotional techniques, symbol systems, or traditions & perspectives we joyfully explore for personal growth & freedom, all while being in service & recognizing the needs of a larger community -- to help those in need in the Rhode Island area through this year's chosen organization: Amos House).

Amos House is a Rhode Island-based organization, building a better community through:

• meals for the hungry, • rehabilitation-based shelter, • permanent housing solutions, • literacy education, • vocational training,
• and various social services.

All donations raised through our 2014 Giving Campaign will be going to Amos House.

If you would like to help with the booth/tent, please contact Frater Pantha through the meet up site ...or simply show up at the event! Set up begins after 8am, the event officially begins at 10am. (Bring an extra folding chair or a blanket to sit on "picnic style"!) It would be great to see you!

If you or anyone would like to simply attend the Rhode Island Pagan Pride Day, the event takes place at the Riverside Sportsman's Association (at the end of Mohawk Drive in Riverside, RI) & runs from 10 am to 5pm (vendors & our "Amos House" Book Tent will be set up outside starting 8am, and "broken down" from 5 to 6pm), more info available at: http://www.ripaganpride.com
