Playing Out at the Texas Bamboo Festival

Once in a while, we have an opportunity to "Play Out!". In this case, the coordinators of the Texas Bamboo Society and the American Bamboo Society have invited us to come to Zilker Botanical Garden on Sunday, November 23, to play for their Texas Bamboo Festival guests.

The Festival will be open from 10 am - 3 pm on Sunday. If Flute Circle members could plan to arrive at 10, we will set up in a shady spot and start playing. This is all open mic style. Introduce yourself and play a song, two, or three, and then let another person play.

William Harjo, a maker of rivercane and bamboo flutes will be there with flutes for sale.

You might want to bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellant.
