The Very Big and Amiable Summer Picnic – Make Friends for a Good Cause

Details

Hey guys,

My friend Baruch Solomon from Friendly Guided Walks for Charity (https://www.meetup.com/Friendly-Guided-Walks-for-Charity/) and I would like to invite you to our biggest and friendliest event this year – our Big Summer Picnic.

The event is free, but Barry will ask you for a small donation for Action Village India.

As any good picnic, this one will have food, drink, games and plenty of general fun. We’re currently working on the details, but being in Regent’s Park, those of us who so wish will e.g. have the chance to hire a boat and go explore the lake a little bit.

The main purpose of the event, however, will be: Make some genuine friends and appreciate the glory of a July summer in one of London’s most magnificent parks.

What Should I Bring?

Please do some food and some juice, beer, wine or a soft drink to share. Also, feel free to bring Frisbee, flying saucer, badminton racquet, ball of any description, paddling pool, pogo stick or any other item that you thing will contribute to summer fun.

What Should I Expect?

As mentioned above, this is a charity event so we will be doing a collection for Action Village India. (http://www.actionvillageindia.org.uk/home). Over fifty people are expected so if everybody were to contribute just £3 we'd raise over £150 towards sustainable development projects to help some of the poorest people on the planet.

We'll also be providing a few short entertainments and you will be invited to participate in this. So feel free to let your hair down a little and if you have a guitar, banjo, drum, mouth organ or other instrument that you can play badly, then do bring it along.

And Finally

Meeting Point: 1 pm outside Regent’s Park tube station. If you can’t find us, please ring 0755 736 79 11.

Guys, one big request: If it's no trouble, could you please share this event on your Facebook/Twitter/anything else? It's for a good cause, and of course, so want to get more people on board.
