Now, onto the good stuff.

When I first moved back to L.A. three years ago, I did a walk around Mulholland reservoir, aka "Lake Hollywood", which is really beautiful and surrounded by a walking track.

It's protected by a fenced boundary to keep people out (which is probably why it's retained its beauty) and I stuck close to the fence side of the track so I could admire the views. At this point in the description, I would include an emoji, but seeing as how there isn't one for a reservoir, I'll just leave it out altogether.

Anyway, this guy was jogging toward me from the other direction, also near the fence, and as he approached, I moved even closer to the fence so he could pass me on the outside.

Apparently he didn't like that I wasn't moving out of his way, so as he passed me, he muttered the word "twat". At this point in the description, I would include an emoji, but seeing as how there isn't one for a twat, I'll just leave it out altogether.

I thought to myself: "It's great to be back in the city."

Luckily, I was able to find an exact emoji of the guy. Here ya go: 🧌

No, we won't be doing the walk around the lake on this one, I'll save that for another day because despite any lurking trolls, it really is beautiful.

On this one, we'll be doing a fantastic lil' hike that has it all: visual interest, oak covered groves, plenty of shade, sweeping vistas, and me 😁

Oh yeah, there's a lil' climb on this one - how else do ya think you get sweeping vistas? I rate this one for fit beginners as well as the seasoned hiker. Novices will likely turn back muttering the word "twat" under their breath.

Four and a half miles, elevation gain of 650 ft.
Don't hold me to those stats because it's about the fun, baby! 😎

Afterwards, we'll go brunch on some delicious food at Urban Plates at The Oaks Mall 162 West Hillcrest Drive, next to the AMC theaters. They've got something for everyone 😋 How 'bout a twat sandwich?

🟢 Parking in the upper lot where we'll be meeting, and overflow parking on Greenmeadow Ave.

👉 DIRECTIONS:
From the 101 fwy in Thousand Oaks, exit Moorpark Rd. and head south (that's beachward). Drive all the way to the end of Moorpark Rd, then TURN RIGHT ONTO GREENMEADOW AVE. Do NOT go to the trail head at the end of Moorpark Rd, we won't be there. Drive to the end of Greenmeadow and into the upper parking lot where we'll be meeting.
