Friday Night MIXER @ Spring Fling!!

It's here, it's here..!!! Our FIRST ever event in Sydney... and we're looking forward to meeting YOU!!!! And, it's a FREE event.. with nibbles included. We're just pumped to meet you!!!! You know what else is here..? SPRING!!! Hooray!!!! xx

The Bar at Sir Stamford is the perfect place for one of our signature MIXERS... gorgeous lounge setting, a bar to tempt any appetite, and the illustrious sounds of live lounge music. And, Food & Beverage Director, Michael, always ensures that his team is on point to take good care of us. Win!!

Attending our MIXER will give you an opportunity to indulge in good conversation, meet and greet new faces, and start your adventures with THE MODERN SOCIAL in a picture perfect establishment. Come make history with us! Nibbles will be served at approximately 8 pm, but there is also a menu available for your convenience before and after this time. We have reserved space for approximately 20 guests, which is a perfect number to really get to know everyone in attendance. So, say 'yes' to coming!! And join us for a wonderful spring-is-here fling!

What happens after 9 pm?? Great question, B! The bar will most certainly be open, so there's no rush to leave if we're having a good time or not finished socialising with the awesome company in attendance. But there are a few functions booked from that time, so it will be pretty full in there!! How fun! But, perhaps you've met a new group of friends who want to continue the city expedition! The choice is yours, really.. so we can decide that on the night!!!

DRESS: What to wear, what to wear????!!!!!! A dilemma I face, constantly. It's Friday night in the city, it can be fun to dress a little 'spesh', you know, to shake things up a little from the norm! Some may be coming straight from work and others will be making the trip in to town.. if you're still in your corporate wear, no problem at all! Otherwise, neat casual+ is a great starting point. Basically, you set the bar! Whatever leads you to feel confident and comfortable, wear that... most importantly, don't forget that smile! If you do have any questions or want to bounce some ideas around, feel free to drop me a line!

TICKET / CHECK-IN: This is a FREE to attend event...! Yep, even though 5-star nibbles will be served. I'll be there to welcome you on arrival, check you in, and give you a very fashionable wrist-band to compliment your outfit (haha, they're stylin', for realsies). On top of this (if you can believe it, there's MORE), it's also likely you'll get a hug from me at this point... and by likely, I mean almost definitely. ha ha.

TRANSPORT & PARKING: It's true... parking in the city can sometimes be a b*tch!! ha ha.. for real. But what's a little effort for some fun returns, right??!! If you are in fact driving in, then there are certainly some options! Check out the photo in this events album with the venue location and all of the surrounding carparks, highlighted! Yep, sometimes I pretend to be a little tech-savvy (insert cricket chirps here). The hotel itself does offer valet parking, so keep that in mind as well. AND, the hotel is also a hotel (funnily enough), so maybe spoil yourself a little more and spend the night/weekend!

TAXI / UBER: They should know how to find the Sir Stamford at Circular Quay, but the actual street address is 93 Macquarie St, City.

TRAIN / FERRY: A short stroll from the stations at Circular Quay.. trains and ferries operate both before and after the event times, so this may be a good option for out of city commutes!

Our Adelaide sector has over 2,000 members now, with more than 1,100 of them already attending our events in only 6 short months. We've quickly grown to expect 40-60 members at every event... It's been quite the ride! Lots of fun has been had and even more will be had in the upcoming adventures of THE MODERN SOCIAL... and that includes launching across Australia. Hello Sydney!! We'd love to welcome you and show you just how cool life is when you're amongst it.

AND FINALLY.. this, and every event we run, is hosted by an experienced social coach! Which means that there's very little room for anyone to feel out of place or not connected with others. We keep an eye on you and everyone, ensuring things run smooth and no one's left out. Your host - in this case, me - is always at the venue an hour before each official start, to meet those who wish to come a little earlier, chat things through, or ask any questions they might have before the others arrive. Everyone is welcome to do this, simply drop me a line if you'd like to roll this way and we'll have a little online chat in the lead up!!! This additional service is complimentary to anyone attending on the night, so, take the opportunity if you think it's a good fit for you. : ) x
