Hastings’ clifftop trails, hidden paths, and stunning shoreline views make this one of my absolute favourite spots — and I can’t wait to share it with you!
We’ll be tackling Hastings to Rye along the Saxon Shore Way, one of the UK’s most scenic coastal walks. This linear route is part of the iconic 160-mile long-distance path linking Gravesend to Hastings. Along the way, you’ll enjoy dramatic sandstone cliffs, wild coastal heath, ancient gill woodland, lowland meadows, and sustainably managed farmland — all shaped by the sea over millions of years. Expect a day full of history, nature, and seaside charm.

Hike Details – Hastings to Rye

• Distance: 12.4 miles
• Estimated Time: 5–6 hours
• Elevation: 1,614 ft
• Meeting Point: London Waterloo or Hasting Train Station
• Cost: £10 guiding fee
• Travel: purchase return ticket with National rail card -£25 open return.

There are plenty of opportunities to stop for refreshments along the way, whether in Hastings or Rye. This hike is all about connection and adventure - we’ll keep the group small and friendly so you can enjoy the company and make new friends while soaking in one of the most picturesque coastal walks in the UK.

Once we reach the minimum number of registrations, I’ll set up a WhatsApp group so we can all vote on highlights and share tips for the hike. It’s your chance to connect, plan, and maybe even challenge yourself with the full adventure!

Start February the right way — we’re heading to the Seven Sisters! 🌊🥾
Fresh sea air, dramatic cliff-top views, and a proper reset in great company. It’s the perfect way to shake off winter, stretch your legs, and do something that actually feels good. Exactly what a February weekend is made for. 😉

The Plan:
Route: Seaford to Eastbourne (train from London Victoria – 1.5 hrs) or Seaford train station.
Train tickets: purchase off-peak return to Eastbourne with national rail card. £25 in advance.
Distance: 22 km - good level of fitness is required.
Guide Fee: £10
Ascent 900m in total
Hiking time: 5 - 6 hrs with 2 short breaks.
Optional: We’ll wrap up the day with a relaxing drink at a local pub/restaurant-purely optional, but a lovely way to toast a great day out!
*This hike is lil challenging but achievable! :-)

Bring:

• Comfortable walking shoes / boots
• Water and snacks
• Weather-appropriate clothing

Join us for an unforgettable adventure on the Yorkshire coast during the first Bank Holiday weekend of April.

This trip combines dramatic coastal scenery, legendary seaside villages, and an epic guided hike with a great group of outdoor lovers.

The Plan:

Our main adventure will be a 13.5-mile guided coastal hike from Whitby to Robin Hood’s Bay, one of the most beautiful trails in England.

Expect:
• 6–7 hours on the trail - Saturday
• Spectacular cliff views over the North Sea
• Hidden coastal paths
• A scenic lunch stop (optional)
• A relaxed pace with plenty of photo opportunities and wonderful company

The hike is moderate with a few small challenges, so a good level of fitness is recommended.

Accommodation:

We’ll stay at the legendary YHA Whitby hostel, located right next to Whitby Abbey overlooking the sea.

Rooms include bunk beds and private beds in shared rooms (2–8 people).

Average cost: ~£77 per person for 2 nights

Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Travel:

Travel to Whitby is everyone’s responsibility, but I will recommend the best train connections.

Typical journey:

• 4h30 from London King’s Cross (2 changes)
  Estimated return ticket: ~£138

If there is enough interest, I’m happy to organise a group train ticket to potentially reduce the cost.
However, this will require payment in advance to secure the booking.

Costs:

🥾 Guided hike & organisation fee: £50 per person
🛏️ Accommodation: ~£77 for 2 nights
🚆 Train: ~£138 return (estimated)

Food, insurance and personal expenses are not included.

Breakfast is available at the hostel, or we can use the communal kitchen.
I’m also happy to organise a simple group breakfast (scrambled eggs, avo on toast & juice) with an everyone contribution…

Travel insurance is recommended.

Whitby to Robin Hood’s Bay Weekend Away

I’m opening registration of interest for a very special weekend hike — and this one is close to my heart.

We will be based in Whitby, staying right by the cathedral, surrounded by dramatic cliffs, winding streets, and that unmistakably cool coastal vibe. Whitby is one of those places that just gets under your skin.

The hike itself is one of my personal favourites — the very first hike I ever took my partner on back in December. Expect breathtaking coastal paths, big sea views, and a secret spot I don’t usually share… easily one of the best viewpoints on the coast and perfectt for unch.

The plan:

Day 1 – Arrival & Welcome
We’ll kick off the weekend with a warm welcome and get everyone ready for the adventure ahead. Perfect time to meet the group, soak in the sea air, and explore the town a little.

Day 2 – The Hike
Our main adventure! A 6-hour coastal hike from Whitby to Robin Hood’s Bay, including a secret viewpoint I can’t usually share. Dramatic cliffs, stunning views, and the reward at the end — the best local fish & chips right by the sea.

Day 3 – Morning Exercise & Optional Sunrise Walk
Start your day with a gentle morning exercise before breakfast to wake up those muscles after our big hike. Early risers can join an optional sunrise walk along the coast before we pack up and head back to London. Breakfastt optional.
