Welcome to Valentine Sweat-a 14-mile South Downs challenge hike taking in rolling chalk hills, coastal climbs and the unforgettable Seven Sisters. This one is about strong legs, good energy and embracing the burn - with epic views as your reward.
Starting inland and finishing by the sea, this route serves up long miles, steady climbs and exposed coastal paths. It’s tough in places, but hugely satisfyin - the kind of hike that leaves you tired, smiling, and quietly proud of yourself. Everyone is welcome - partners, singletonns you name it!
This hike is for you if:
• You’re comfortable walking 14 miles / ~22km
• You have a good level of fitness
• You enjoy a challenge and don’t mind sweating a bit
• You want big views and a big sense of achievement
What to expect:
• Sustained distance with elevation
• The iconic Seven Sisters cliff walk
• Minimal faffing -steady, purposeful pace
• Short refuel stops, not a pub crawl
• A well-earned finish in Eastbourne
