A change of plan - and a beautiful one!

Due to engineering works and rail replacement buses affecting the journey towards Seven Sisters, we’re switching things up this Sunday and heading to the beautiful Surrey Hills instead.

Join us for a 21km circular hike, starting and finishing at Box Hill & Westhumble Station, taking in woodland trails, rolling countryside, vineyard views and some stunning autumn scenery.

The Plan:

Start & Finish: Box Hill & Westhumble Station
Distance: 21.1 km
Elevation gain: 340 m
Walking time: approximately 5 hr 47 min
Difficulty: Hard

Along the way, we’ll explore:

  • Abinger Roughs
  • Ranmore Common
  • The North Downs Way
  • Denbies Vineyard
  • Surrey Hills viewpoints
  • Blatchford Down
  • The 300+ year-old Witch’s Broom Tree

As it’s a circular route, we finish exactly where we started - Box Hill & Westhumble Station.

Getting There

We’ll meet at Vauxhall Station and travel together towards Box Hill & Westhumble.

08:27 South Western Railway from Vauxhall

The train stops include Vauxhall, Clapham Junction, Wimbledon, Ewell West, Epsom and onwards towards Box Hill & Westhumble.

Please arrive a little early so we can board together. We won’t be able to wait for late arrivals once the train leaves.

The Autumn Vibe

Think golden leaves, woodland trails, beautiful countryside, autumn tunes and good company.

Bring your walking boots, water, lunch/snacks and a waterproof jacket. The route is rated medium, with some hills, steps and uneven or muddy sections, so please come prepared for a proper 21k.

🍂Let’s make it a beautiful Sunday! 🍁
