Icebreaker (with coffee!)
Check-in, grab a coffee, and join us for some structured conversations to help us get to know each other, our projects, and what we want to get from the weekend. (Join us when you can; we know people will be coming from work, etc.)

Writing Sprints
Stretch your fingers, bench your inner-editor, and keep your eyes on the doc! Compete with yourself and others for word count. This exercise is great to write yourself out of a plot hole, learn about your characters, or even start something new.

Writing Time
Find a cozy space and disappear into your world.

One-on-Ones
Share your doc and get live, unfiltered feedback. We'll pause to fix errors, ask questions, and enhance your craft line by line for 30 minutes.

Worldbuilding Workshop - (Richard Alexander)
We all love playing god in our spare time, but once you have the world built, what do you do with it? And more importantly, how do you show your reader how cool your world is?
In this workshop, we will be going over how to show off your world to your reader in a way that is both comprehensible and not boring, we will go over best practices for making the worldbuilding work for you, and we will be using actual educational principles to best guide your reader into the world you've been obsessing over.

Self-Editing Workshop - (Carly Huss)
Step 1, write the thing.
Step 2 - 25 edit the thing!
Bring your laptop! I learned the long, hard way how to turn a rough draft into a manuscript a publisher wants to read. I'll walk you through my self-editing checklist, explain why rules matter to publishers, and how to polish a manuscript until it sparkles.
