Approximately 325 AD.

A barbarian conqueror named Constantine, along with the Council of Nicea, a group of known pagans, formed the Catholic Church to use the influence of Christianity to further their cause because Constantine had a, "Vision of a Cross," and he believed that by using this symbol he would be a great ruler and a successful conqueror. Now his "Vision" is being rivaled by Joseph Smith's "Vision." LOL!!

Prior to this, Christianity was under tremendous persecution, in fact Christians were being murdered and tortured by the thousands. One could say that God used this barbarian conqueror to stop the persecution because this became a safe house for all the copies of the original manuscripts from the 1st century, and because Constantine began to shift the persecution onto the persecutors. Many believe the Vatican actually has some if not all of the original manuscripts.

In Matthew 28:19 it says: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"

And so they took this one scripture and instead of fulfilling it, they repeated it, and to this very day people still make the "Sign of The Cross" in homage to this graven idolatrous image of God's deity..

These pagans did not understand that Jesus was the only, "Name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." So instead of fulfilling the commandment, they just ignorantly repeated it and still do to this day.

Father, Son, & Holy Spirit are titles of God's administration but Jesus is His Name which means God is Salvation. If you have been baptized into the titles, then you have been baptized erroneously. The authority of God's salvation is in His name. Many ignorantly repeat the commandment but only few fulfill the commandment. I would not have you ignorant and neither would the Apostles..See origin of Oneness Deity for further Clarification..

Numerous historical references say Matthew 28:19 was altered by the Catholic Church.

Just to quote a few:

QUOTE: Edmund Schlink, The Doctrine of Baptism, page 28:
"The baptismal command in its Matthew 28:19 form can not be the historical origin of Christian
baptism. At the very least, it must be assumed that the text has been transmitted in a form expanded by
the [Catholic] church."

QUOTE: The Tyndale New Testament Commentaries, I, 275:
"It is often affirmed that the words in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost are
not the ipsissima verba [exact words] of Jesus, but...a later liturgical addition."

QUOTE: The Catholic Encyclopedia, II, page 263:
"The baptismal formula was changed from the name of Jesus Christ to the words Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit by the Catholic Church in the second century."
