Theology At the Bottleworks #236
Wednesday, February 19, 2025 (Third Wednesday of Month as Always!)
6:30 p.m. at Schlafly Bottleworks Crown Room

Join us for the February Theology at the Bottleworks where we are discussing “Presidential Power in America”. Since his January 20 inauguration, President Trump has signed a record number of executive orders, leading to questions of how far presidential power can and should extend. What amount of power do you believe a president should have to act unilaterally? To what extent do "we the people" have power in modern day America, or who does? How do you determine whether power is legitimate, and respond to power you believe is not legitimate? How do you wield power in your own life, who motivates or constrains your use of your power? To what extent do personal or presidential power give you hope, or perhaps frustration or dispair? We’ll discuss all this and more, so, Come have a brew, give your view and lend an ear to others’.
