Details
Join us for the August Theology at the Bottleworks as we discuss Global Weirding and Liviing with Natural Disasters. From fires at the Grand Canyon to flooding in Texas to earthquakes in Russia to a tornado in urban St Louis, natural calamities seem to be ever more common. In this far-ranging discusion we’ll discuss why, and what can be done to counter disastrous events. We’ll look at personal and communal responsibilties for, and responses to, disasters including blameworthiness and opportunities for solutiions and for service. Do you feel vulnerable to natural calamities and how do you deal with that? And just how is St Louis’s response to the May tornado that damaged 5,000 buildings? Come have a brew, give your view and lend an ear to others’.
