Theology At the Bottleworks #245
Wednesday, September 17, 2025 (Third Wednesday of Month as Always!)
6:30 p.m. at Schlafly Bottleworks Crown Room

Join us for the September Theology at the Bottleworks as we discuss “How do we deal with “The Other”, those different from ourselves?” It can be pretty easy to understand or deal with people who look, talk, believe or act like us - but what about those who don’t? How do or ought we think about and deal with people with whom we drastically disagree, whether on politics, religion, morality, interests and values? Is inter-personal confrontation, intolerance and conflict as bad as some suggest, as social media portrays? How do you deal with, or want to deal with, all the people who aren’t like you, or aren’t liking you? What values or attitudes are right or effective for you in dealing with “the other”? And just what is the value or worth of persons we dislike or disagree with, mildly or vehemently? This won’t be easy to discuss but we can do this — Come have a brew, give your view and lend an ear to others’.
