Theology At the Bottleworks #255
Wednesday, July 15, 2026 (Third Wednesday of the month as always)
6:30 p.m. at Schlafly Bottleworks
This month’s Discussion Topic: “Still young, hungry and scrappy? America at 250- who are we, how are we and what is our future?”
In July we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Let’s reflect on who we are as a country, where we’ve been, how we’re doing, and what our future holds. This will be a free-flowing discussion looking at America from a variety of perspectives - historical, ethical, legal, political, moral and spiritual. Of special interest will be the values espoused in our culture and our governing laws and authorities, and whether we do or can or should live up to them. Thoughts both praising and critical will all be welcome (we do have freedom of speech!). Ultimately - is there an American Dream, can you catch hold of it, and is it worth catching? As always, come have a brew, share your view and lend an ear to others!
