Watch and Discuss Forrest Gump

Last month we watched Dr. Strangelove which was a satire about Cold War. Forrest Gump is setup during the Cold War era as well, but it is a comedy which is semi-mythical in viewing American History.

• What we'll do
We will watch Forrest Gump over popcorn, coffee and cookies! Then discuss it. What makes the Forrest Gump and endearing story? The movie touches on a wide range of themes from mental illness, war, grief, and ultimately what it means to love. The movie also poses some interesting psychological questions of what to do when life seems overwhelming - whether the movie answers that question well may be up for debate.

Coke, cookies, coffee, popcorn will be provided!

Just yourself. Feel free to bring ur fav movie snacks, if you want to.
