OM: Transcending the Self
H. P. Blavatsky references the great Mandukya Upanishad in the Secret Doctrine, particularly in relation to the “Omniscient, Eternal, Boundless, and Immutable Principle” established in the First Fundamental Proposition. This 12-verse Upanishad delineates the four stages of consciousness and uses the Sanskrit mantra Om (spelled AUM) to aid in integrating this into our lives.
