What we’re about

We invite and welcome you, fellow student, to the study of the Occult Sciences located at the historical Theosophy Hall located in downtown Los Angeles, a few steps from USC campus.

For 150 years The purpose of the Thesophical Movement is defined by 3 Objects:
To form a nucleus of Universal Brotherhood without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste or color.
To encourage the study of ancient and modern wisdom traditions, religions, philosophies and sciences, and the demonstration of the importance of such study.
To investigate the Occult Laws of Nature and the powers latent in Humankind.

According to the movement's founder Madame Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, "Theosophy's purpose is to uncover the ancient "Wisdom Religion" that underlies all religions and philosophies, thereby helping humanity progress from a state of ignorance to one of spiritual and intellectual enlightenment."

Theosophy is "Divine Wisdom" and the study of the underlying laws of the universe, with a focus on reincarnation and karma as the basis for human evolution. It is a practical and ethical path to spiritual development, emphasizing universal brotherhood and personal practice in understanding the Laws of Occultism. Together, students of Theosophy can render complex occult principles more accessible to people from all walks of life.
