About this event
TRANSFORMATION: EXPAND ~ CONTRACT, an extended 5Rhythms Wintering Ritual
Sunday, Dec 10, 3-6pm

Join us as the frost settles and nature withdraws, we dance wave after wave for an extended 3hr practice, exploring the subtle yet powerful movements within our bodies.

"Trance is... a mindful state that only happens when you get out your way and fall into your true self so deeply that something inside clicks and you are simultaneously being and witnessing" - Gabrielle Roth
Facilitated by credentialed 5Rhythms teacher Megan Kelley

Megan offers heart-centered space for consciousness development, expanding capacity to be present and connected to one's inner and outer worlds. Her path journeys the way of the wound to harness raw physicality and intuitive attunement, moving with the rhythms as allies in every aspect of life. Body, heart, mind, soul, and spirit.

About 5Rhythms
Created by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by tens of thousands worldwide, 5Rhythms is a philosophy, perspective, performance art and dynamic movement practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor, reaching across all languages, cultures and age groups to transform suffering into art, art into awareness, and awareness into action.

Wherever the 5Rhythms are practiced, a community is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support, and to provide a safe space for each of us to shatter the ego’s hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking part of ourselves that yearns to be free.

Creativity. Connection. Community.

About the Waves™ Map
Waves are the foundation and fundamentals of the 5Rhythms practice. The rhythms of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness® allow us to explore the nature of who we are and how our energy moves in this world as well as being a fun and full way to celebrate being alive. The focus of the Waves level is experiencing the body as a fluid entity, with the outcome that we discover our feet and release the breath.
