Hi everyone,

We'll be hosting a TeleParty movie night this Thursday night! We'll start the movie promptly at 7:00pm. Just RSVP and click the link to join. I'll post the link to the Teleparty above at 6:30pm.

This time around we'll be watching the 2016 film "Midnight Special" starring Michael Shannon, Joel Edgerton, and Kirsten Dunst. imdb says it's a film about "A father and son go on the run, pursued by [people] drawn to the child's special powers."

Rogerebert.com has us even more intrigued. It calls "Midnight Special" a film with "...echoes of John Carpenter, Steven Spielberg, and Stephen King bouncing throughout." That "...So many modern blockbusters err on the side of hand-holding [but] 'Midnight Special' respects your intelligence."

We've been looking forward to seeing this for a while now. Let's watch it together!

TeleParty is an easy-to-install Chrome plugin that syncs up Netflix for everyone who joins the Party and allows us all to text chat during the movie.

Some details about TeleParty:

• You'll want to install this free plugin before Thursday.
• Be logged into Netflix before you click the live link when I post it up.
• Tele Party does not work on a TV. It will work on most mobile devices and on laptop and desktop computers.
• A workaround if you want to watch it on your TV: Wait for us to start the movie and then visually cue them up. Then mute your computer.
• There is a 50 person max on a Party room.

Finally, the movie will start promptly at 7:00pm and we will pause it for a 10-minute intermission half-way through.
