"The Day of the Triffids" - John Wyndham

The Day of the Triffids is one of those classic novels that pops up on a number of different lists of must-reads. It was initially touted by The Times (London) as having "all the reality of a vividly realized nightmare”, so that 100% has our attention. Triffids is a post-apocalypse story about humanity moving on after an apparent meteor shower blinds part of humanity.
