Hike Orono Crown Land Loops with Bladabear
Details
Meet Up Point: 5400 Ochonski Road, Clarington, Ontario L0B 1M0, Canada
The Orono Crown Lands occupy 633 acres of the former Ontario Tree Nursery. This nature area features seven well marked and maintained trails that total 13 km (8 miles). The trails meander through a varied habitat of mature evergreen and deciduous hardwood forests. Wilmot Creek, one of Ontario’s best cold-water creeks, runs through the property. A spawning run of rainbow trout occurs in mid-April with a salmon run in late August.
This is a 13.7 km trail and as usual it is rugged but doable. Come prepared with good footwear - not running shoes- lots of water and layers cause who knows what the weather will be like. Also pack a lunch, cause as you may know, Bladabear likes to go far!
Note:Its a small parking lot. We might have to park on the road side
