Wandering Wednesdays to Frog Lake Lookout

Wandering Wednesdays is heading to Frog Lake Overlook, a 7 mile out and back with about 1600' gain. Note most of the gain is the last 1 3/4 mile climb. This trail is steep. For some it might be very strenuous and others moderate so know your abilities before signing up!

Please do not sign up if you are not 100% committed to attending this hike.
I am surveying how many are interested so don't sign up if you might change your mind.

The weather forecast at Emigrant Gap for Wednesday is sunny and 70°.

Bring the normal hiking supplies, the 10 essentials for hiking, weather appropriate layered clothing for the High Sierras, plenty of water and electrolytes and a lunch for the summit.
Don't forget to bring your awesome and positive attitudes ready for any alterations, changes or challenges that may occur.

We will meet at Roseville Sunsplash Park & Ride to car pool.

We exit at Boreal. Do not go to the I-80 Rest Stop!

Wandering Wednesdays may alter hikes each week but will default to the Lake Natoma Bluffs unless otherwise posted. If you are a regular be sure to confirm the hike meeting location and time weekly. We welcome and encourage beginners on many hikes but be aware of your hiking speed and abilities for 20 to 25 minute mile. Some hikes are not for beginners!

We follow the "Leave no trace only footprints" policy.
