Hike to and from Bassi Falls in the Sierras

SUMMARY
On this moderate out and back hike in Eldorado National Forest, Crystal Basin Recreation Area, and the Sierras; we will hike to and from Bassi Falls via Millionaire CP (a road) and Bassi Creek Trail for about 5 miles with an elevation gain of about 500 feet through pine forest and granite rocky terrain.
MEETING TIMES AND PLACES
For carpooling, meet 8:30am at Iron Point Park and Ride lot next to light rail station and below premium outlets and a vacant building that used to be McDonald's in Folsom, and the address is 150 Iron Point Rd, Folsom, CA 95630. Please pay carpool driver the current price of gas per gallon.
For those meeting directly at trailhead, meet 10:00am at the T-intersection of Ice House Rd and Millionaire CP next to Big Silver Group Campground, and one of Google GPS coordinators for locating the T-Intersection is

HIKING INFORMATION AND ESSENTIALS
DIFFICULTY: Moderate due to hills.
DISTANCE: About 5 miles.
ELEVATION: About 500 feet of elevation gain.
ROUTE: Start at T-Intersection of Ice House Rd and Millionaire CP, then hike for about 1/2 of a mile on Millionaire CP (a forest service rd), then turn left at Bassi Creek Trailhead and hike mostly and gradually uphill on Bassi Creek Trail for about 2 miles to Bassi Falls. Then after spending some time at Bassi Falls, hike mostly and gradually downhill on Bassi Creek Trail for about 2 miles, then turn right and hike on Millionaire CP (a forest service rd) for about 1/2 mile back to the T-Intersection of Ice House Rd and Millionaire CP next to Big Silver Group Campground.
ESSENTIALS: Bring water, hiking shoes/boots, hiking poles if needed, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, etc), small lunch/snacks, first aid kit, warm jecket in case of cold morning temps, etc.
