Wandering Wednesdays is heading to Colfax to hike Stevens Trail, about 8 miles and 1700' gain. This is the perfect time of year to get this hike in before the weather gets to hot and all dried out.
The wildflowers are epic here some years so let go check it out.
This is not a beginners hike and can be strenuous for some. Most of the uphill gain is on the return back to the cars.

The weather is forecast 20% chance of rain and a high 58°. We'll keep an eye on that. Bring your rain gear. Light rain we hike, heavy rain cancels!

Please Do Not be a no show. Update your RSVP if you cant make it and have to cancel. Give others on the wait list plenty of notice.

Things to bring; plenty of water, comfortable shoes, appropriate clothes for the weather, possible rain, a snack and lunch for at the river as well an adventurist and positive attitude. The ground may be slippery so all terrain shoes/boots are suggested.
This hike will be about 4.5+ hours or more. We will be walking at a steady pace. (about 2.5 to 3 MPH).
We follow the "Leave no trace only footprints" policy.

We'll meet at Roseville Sunsplash Park & Ride at 8:30 am. Please pay attention to work day traffic so leave 15 or so minutes earlier than google says.
