Wandering Wednesdays is heading to Loop Lake Natoma staying on single track trails as much as possible!

This week come hike with us on the beautiful bluffs above and single tracks Circling Lake Natoma.

The route is a 12 mile counter clockwise loop with 800' gain hike. This hike is Moderate to Hard based on the 12 mile length. Know your abilities for long hiking!

We will start at our regular spot at Sunset & Main, We'll start with the first few miles gradually going up Middle Ridge Trail to the rolling bluffs above the lake. We will follow the trail until it returns to lake level then back up to the bluffs above the dam where we'll head down and cross the water at Hazel and make our way towards Folsom on single track whenever possible.

At about 8 miles we'll stop at Karin's Bakery for lunch or you can bring your own if you don't want to purchase at Karin's Bakery.

Here is a Custom AllTrails Link we'll attempt to follow: https://www.alltrails.com/explore/custom-routes/custom-route-lake-natoma-single-track-trail-loop-ecb2141?u=i&sh=hnvpqh

After lunch we'll continue through Old Town Folsom and cross the water on Rainbow Bridge then head back up on the bluffs passing the new Eagles Nest and return on single track back to the cars.

We will park at Sunset and Main. If that is full you can park in the Snowberry Creek Assembly Area aka Shadow Glen Riding Stables parking lot. From Sunset, turn left on Main then right into the first driveway marked Shadow Glen Riding Stables. Once you turn in make another right into the gated lot.
