Details
Join us for another beginning sewing class. These sewing classes are designed to get you inspired to sew, become more familiar with your sewing machine and get you on your way to sewing your own clothes.
Bag making is a great way http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/8/d/0/5/event_39756101.jpeg to get yourself comfortable with the sewing machine. Learn how to cut according to a pattern, sew straight seams, insert interfacing for support and form, get creative with your design and attach a snap for closure. All this in a 3 hour class.
You will have the choice to make one of three different tote bags. One will be easy (for novices), Medium (for intermediate seamstresses), advanced (just more steps).
Fabric and some supplies will be provided however you can feel free to bring your own fabric. (suggested fabrics lightweight denim, broadcloth, lightweight cottons. (please see the list below for additional supplies you will need to bring for this class)
Also feel free to bring embellishments such as buttons, sequins, patches, trims, laces,, tassels etc. Anything that you can use to make your bag unique I encourage you to bring.
