Binney Park Dusk & Moonrise Photo Walk

We’ll meet for a relaxed 1.5-hour photo walk at Binney Park, timed to take advantage of a rare and visually interesting overlap of light conditions. The moon rises at 2:26 PM, with sunset following at 5:00 PM, creating an extended dusk window where cool ambient light and a waxing gibbous (almost full) moon may align beautifully with the park’s landscape and nearby structures.

As with previous meetups, we’ll move at an easy pace, pausing often to observe light, composition, reflections, and changing sky textures. Depending on conditions, we may walk toward the Old Greenwich train station to see if we can frame the moon above the tracks or station elements as the light fades.

Park along the side of the road on Binney Park Drive. We’ll meet near the tennis courts.

This is a casual, observational walk. Bring any camera you like, dress warmly, and expect a mix of conversation, quiet shooting, and responding to whatever the light gives us that afternoon.
