
What we’re about
The Sitting Room is a relaxed online space for mindfulness & meditation. Everyone with a sincere interest is welcome.
Sessions are short so they fit into one's day. You can sit however you wish and there's no heavy discussion or theory to think about. We'll simply meditate.
My role is only to create the space and start the timer. No instructors to listen to, techniques to learn or rituals to follow. You could count your breath, look for a self or do something else entirely. It's up to you.
About me:
I've been meditating on-and-off since 2018. I've done courses with a Tibetan Buddhist organisation, sit regularly with a Zen group and I'm a community ambassador for a meditation app. Nevertheless, have an imperfect practice. One where I'm sure I should meditate more and still wonder what it's all about.
