The Speakers (Running Order TBC):

Adam Houldsworth - Head of Architecture at Insight Investment - Enjoying What You Do

Adam heads up the architecture function at Insight Investment's Manchester Tech Hub and has been a proactive member of The SocialCode from day 1.

His talk is focused on finding the value and fulfilment in your development career - something anyone at any level can learn from. Having spent some time discussing this talk with Adam this is definitely one you don't want to miss!

Lee Englestone - Full Stack Manager at Avanade and Microsoft MVP - Analysing Faces (With & Without Code)

Following up on his wildly popular talk on Augmented Reality using Xamarin ARKit, Lee is back with his talk where we will look at how we can analyse facial expressions to determine emotions and sometimes intent both without code (FACS, micro expressions, non-verbal communication etc) and with code at point in time (Azure Cognitive Services) and real time (ARKit Facial Expression detection).

If you're interested in anything Augmented Reality/Facial Recognition related this isn't to be missed.

John Peden - Contract JavaScript Developer and Founder of the Tweak Digital Podcast - Mistakes I've Made As A Contract Developer & How I've Grown From Them

John has been working as a Freelancer across the North West for around a decade and has spent lots of time crafting tools to aid the community - most recently with his podcast Tweak Digital which addresses topics of interest to any developer across the North West.

In this honest and open talk John will be addressing a number of mistakes he made as he was developing his career, and establishing how he was able to spin them into positives and grow from them.

We can't wait to see you all there!
