Details
Skill swapping, socialising, and stories of impact from The Social Society's community will be the focus of this evening with connection, and giving back at the centre.
Part one: ( 19:00 - 20:30 )
We are currently living in difficult times and burnout is at its peak. This September, we are bringing you three experts on breath, sound & functional movement to explore ways in which you can take time, step out of the day-to-day and focus on you.
Facilitators
Matt Bagwell - A performance coach and endurance athlete, Matt is an oxygen advantage master instructor and teaches breathwork in person and online. Alongside ultra-marathons and using breath for optimal performance, Matt shows people how to overcome anxiety, manage stress and avoid depression through breathing techniques. Matts will be guiding us through some simple techniques with a musical twist.
Vanessa Thomas - A musical director, experienced choir leader, professional musician, composer and coach with a passion for helping people of all ages and abilities unlock their musical potential and goals. Vanessa will be showing us how we can use the power of our voice to spark joy and happiness!
Eddie, mango man movement - Eddie is a movement and wellness coach and has developed his own style of movement/teaching which fuses functional patterns, yoga, natural movement and qigong with the intention of leading people out of thinking (left brain) and into feeling (right brain). His clear and calm direction in class is a gateway to tapping into the unlimited potential of your body - with a smile!
Part two: ( 20:30 - 21:30 )
Skill swapping
After choosing your sticker on arrival.
I have a skill to give.
I need a skill.
I'm just here to connect, you will have the opportunity to ask for help, offer your skills, and connect with people in the room. There will be pizza available to buy, nibbles, and snacks and the bar will be open for drinks throughout the evening.
