We are very happy to announce our first physical meetup for 2023. We will be hosting Kostas Georgiadis, an active member of our community who gave many presentations in the past. This will be a special event as it marks the 9th birthday of our meetup, and we will bring a cake to celebrate 🎂!!!

Creating Evolduo: A platform for musical synthesis using evolutionary algorithms

In this presentation, we will go through the process of the design and creation of "evolduo", a web collaboration platform for musical synthesis using evolutionary algorithms. Despite the fancy terms, in this presentation, we will keep things simple and cover most things a software engineer would be interested in. That would include the thought process of requirements specification, design decisions, tool and library selection, and infrastructure and deployment configuration. You can expect an interactive and fun presentation that will be adjusted based on the preference on the audience to delve deeper into platform specifics, either that's music, evolutionary algorithms or web development.

Author: Kostas Georgiadis (https://www.linkedin.com/in/kongeor/) is a software engineer with 10+ years of experience. He has a background in Java and in the recent years, in Clojure development. He is passionate about creating tools and systems that enable others to build and create interactive things.

We encourage everyone to register and interact with the platform so that they better relate to the presentation.

The talk will be delivered in Greek (depending on the audience mix the speaker can switch to English)
