11:00am - STROLL

Pick up an audio tour ($3 rental at the Museum Store (http://morika.convio.net/site/PageServer?pagename=morikami_store_home)) to guide you through the six authentic Japanese gardens (http://www.morikami.org/gardens/historical-gardens/), or check out the free tour of the museum and gardens for smart phones at http://www.morikami.org/tour . Of course, you can choose to simply savor the natural soundtrack. The mile-long path is also a trip through time; each garden represents a style unique to the 9th through the 20th century, from sprawling greenery to serene rock gardens.

At Morikami’s original museum, the Yamato-kan (http://www.morikami.org/museum/yamato-kan/), discover the origins of the Yamato Colony (http://www.morikami.org/aboutus/yamato-colony-pioneering-japanese-in-florida/) and get a glimpse of Japan through the eyes of a child (http://www.morikami.org/yamatokan/japan-through-the-eyes-of-a-child/) at the building’s two permanent exhibits.

12:30pm - DINE

Make your way to the terrace seating at the Cornell Café (http://www.morikami.org/aboutus/cornell-caf/). Chef Fu Chen serves up pan-Asian cuisine and seasonal specialties that delight regulars and newcomers alike.

2:00pm - OBSERVE & EXPLORE

Our rotating exhibits (http://www.morikami.org/museum/exhibits/) and 7,000+ piece permanent collection shed light on Japanese culture through Japanese artists and Japan-inspired work. View these diverse and exquisite pieces in our intimate gallery space (http://www.morikami.org/exhibits/in-the-galleries/).

2:45pm - INDULGE

Treasures abound at our Museum Store (http://morika.convio.net/site/PageServer?pagename=morikami_store_home), from color-drenched Happi coats, Kimono and tea, to tea cups, collectibles and stunning Japanese jewelry.
