Let’s explore one of DC’s most well regarded Persian restaurants. We’re headed to Rumi's Kitchen in Mount Vernon Triangle, steps from the Convention Center.

→ This event, if RSVPing please ensure that you're able to arrive e
arly, Rumi's is a bit rigid that full party needs to arrive for seating.

FOOD: Rumi’s Kitchen serves refined Persian cuisine built around wood fired meats, saffron rice, stews, and vibrant small plates. Reviewers consistently praise the lamb kabobs for tenderness and seasoning, along with chicken kabobs and koobideh skewers. The Chilean sea bass and duck fesenjoon, a traditional pomegranate walnut stew, are often highlighted as standout entrées. Popular starters include roasted cauliflower, hummus, and smoked eggplant dishes. Saffron rice with crispy tahdig is a table favorite. Desserts such as baklava and Persian ice cream are frequently recommended. The cocktail program is also well reviewed, with guests noting balanced, spice driven drinks and an interesting wine list. Most members should expect to spend between 45 and 75 dollars for dinner and drinks.
