About us
Welcome to “The Widow’s Journey: from Grief to Growth,” a non-profit organization, designed to provide education, peer support, and professional resources as you journey to your new normal. Regardless of how you came to be here, your life has now changed dramatically. Our hope is that The Widow’s Journey will provide you with tools and support to successfully transition to your new equilibrium.
We are an uplifting, heart-centered and positive group of wisters (widowed sisters) who “Love it Forward” by mentoring and encouraging each other. We may have lost the love of our lives, but we haven’t lost our love for life.
We currently have Chapters in Texas (Dallas, Frisco, and Southlake); Georgia (Atlanta area); and Connecticut (New York area).

Losing a spouse turns your world upside-down. We are a group of local widows who meet monthly to discuss everything from the financial, legal & administrative decisions to how to cook for one person, all while managing our grief in this difficult time of passage. You will receive education, introductions to professional resources, and social support from other women who have also lost their spouses.
Our events are open to any widow in our community who wants to be inspired to live a joyful life. Feel free to share this information with widows you know who would enjoy our fellowship.
Event format:
- Meet, mingle and socialize In Person.
- Learn from our speaker.
- Participate in group discussion
- Enjoy social uplifting time with other widowed women who are supporting and encouraging each other.
