Welcome to the 6AM Club—a little morning experiment I’m running for my own (selfish?) needs. Lately, I’ve been struggling to stay consistent with a meaningful morning routine. It’s way too easy to roll over, grab my phone, and get sucked into an endless vortex of scrolling, notifications, and instant dopamine hits before I’ve even had a sip of water or my cup of coffee. I want to change that. I've realized that if I want to connect more deeply with others, I need to start by connecting more intentionally with myself.
Inspired by the book The 5AM Club, this version starts at a much more reasonable hour: 6:00 AM–7:00 AM CST, every Monday and Wednesday for the next 30 days.
Each session will follow the 20/20/20 formula:
- 20 min of movement (I'll screen share a yoga, dance, or cardio video)
- 20 min of reflection (Breathwork + journaling prompts)
- 20 min of growth (TED Talks, podcasts, or inspiring readings)
This is a personal growth practice that I’m opening up to the community. Show up however you’d like—camera on or off, fully participating or quietly doing your own thing. There’s no pressure to be social; this is about connecting inward so we can show up more fully outward.
This offering is part of The Zero Proof Social’s mission to support meaningful, substance-free connection—not just with each other, but in how we show up for ourselves every day.
Recommended Materials:
- Journal + Pen – Something you love writing in (could be a fancy notebook or the back of receipts, no judgment).
- Yoga Mat or Open Space – A safe spot to stretch, dance, or jump around.
- Water Bottle – Hydrate after your movement session.
- Headphones or Speakers – For the podcast or TED Talk growth segment.
- Timer or Clock – To track the 20/20/20 blocks (or just use your phone).
- Comfortable Clothes – Pajamas, sweats, or whatever lets you breathe and move.
Recommended Tech Setup:
- Microsoft Teams Access (via phone, tablet, or laptop)
- Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube (for movement playlists if needed)
- Access to YouTube or Podcast Platforms for the Growth portion

I know we all have different internal clocks.If you're a late riser, a night owl, or just not a “morning person,” that’s perfectly okay. This isn’t about forcing your body into someone else's rhythm. It’s about listening to yourself and building habits that work for you. You can always adapt the 6AM Club structure to whatever time supports your well-being best. Either way—this is your journey.
