Due to the below-freezing temperatures forecasted this Saturday, we’re swapping our outdoor plans for a cozy, low-pressure Admin Saturday at Ralph & Rose.

This is a laptop-friendly, parallel-play style meetup where you can bring anything you’ve been meaning to get done. Work quietly, engage in light conversation, or simply enjoy being productive in the company of others.

Bring:

  • A laptop, tablet, or notebook
  • Or a low-mess, offline activity like journaling, planning, budgeting, knitting, or reading
  • Headphones encouraged if that helps you focus

Please avoid bringing anything bulky or messy (for example: paint, glue, or craft projects that require spreading out).

At check-in, you’ll receive a name tag and a sticker to signal your preferred level of interaction:

  • 🟢 Green – Open to chatting
  • 🟡 Yellow – Quiet work with occasional interruptions
  • 🔴 Red – Working silently

You can change your sticker at any time. Silence is welcome here.

Optional friending add-on (via Matchbox)
For those who want a light connection element, we'll be offering friend matching powered by Matchbox, an algorithm that pairs people based on shared preferences and connection style.

Matchbox sign-up link: https://match.box/speed-friending-1/admin

The free Matchbox version accommodates up to 50 participants total, so matching is first come, first served. To participate in the matching, you must either arrive by 12:30 PM or plan to stay until at least 12:30 PM. Matches will be revealed digitally at 12:30, followed by a connection window from 12:30–1:00 PM for folks to say hello to their match in person before the event wraps up. I’ll also have optional prompt cards available if you’d like a gentle icebreaker.

Please note:

  • We’ll be meeting at Ralph & Rose
  • Seating is first come, first served
  • Please plan to purchase something to support the café
  • Ralph & Rose will be hosting a bridal party in their events room, so there may be longer wait times for coffee and pastries than usual. Thanks in advance for your patience.

Thank you all for your flexibility and understanding. I will try and get a walk rescheduled for next month. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon 🙂
